Party No. 7 took place in the dead of summer. July was another crazy month for everyone's schedules and Jason was away for work, so I decided this party would be a great opportunity for an all girls invite list.
Originally, I was set on having it be an indoor campout. I had an entire inspiration board filled with camping themed ideas! Once I set out to get the decor figured out, I remembered how little camping "stuff" I owned. No fold up chairs, or lanterns, tents, or sleeping bags. Although I think I would have been able to borrow the items I just mentioned, it felt like overkill, and I realized I needed to switch things up. Enter - pastels, twinkle lights, junk food and PJs.
I was not a very easy going child, thus sleepovers weren't my favorite activity. There were so many unknown variables, that as a little girl, stressed me out! By high school, my aversion for overnights was mostly gone, and sleeping over at my friend's houses became a normal weekly activity. My favorite part was talking until we passed out from exhaustion early the next morning. We talked about everything, like our dreams and what our adult lives would be like. For this party I knew I wanted a relaxing environment that allowed for talking about any, and everything. I wanted my guests to have a good time laughing and hanging out, like we were little girls again. And this time, no one was going to tell us when to go to sleep!
