Loving this tiny nest (for hummingbirds?) snuggled in a colorful tree while at home visiting my parents. It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." - Lao Tzu
Watching Chris Martin of Coldplay absolutely crush it in the newest episode of Carpool Karaoke. It is worth a watch when you're in need of a good laugh. While you're there make sure you watch the Adele, episode if you haven't already.
Discovering many websites for fun fabric shopping/browsing: Craftsy.com, Fabric.com, Etsy and Joanns.
Singing along with "Grease: Live" which aired on Fox last weekend. Holy. Moly. It was so great (especially the last few numbers). I think this review was spot on: this wasn't theater on TV, it was a live version of the movie, and I'm ok with that! I think it was super entertaining and I loved how it all came together.
Craving an ice cold Arnold Palmer with my brother and sister.
Fuming about this news. In short, the CDC's statement does nothing to address the root cause of the issue they've identified (unplanned pregnancies); it seeks to control behavior, not educate and empower. As a Family Life Educator, and woman of child bearing age, I'm shocked at how this new information was presented to the public.
Introducing my parents to John Mulaney's standup specials via Netflix.
Reading Notorious RBG which is taking my love/respect for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to a whole new level.
Listening to 'I'm Just Talking Here' the most adorable podcast by 6-year-old Ollie, with production help from her Dad. She talks about moving desks at school, gives gymnastics tips of the day, and shares her thoughts on the presidential candidates. Her voice is energetic and full of joy and I can't wait to hear what she comes up with in each episode.
Eating bunches of fried egg sandwiches on wheat toast.
Taking things week by week lately. So far, so good.
Editing pictures from last weekend's trip to SF to see Chris Hardwick (heart eye emojis) tape his upcoming Comedy Central special (to air on 4.30.16). It was at the Palace of Fine Arts (parking was a struggle) and it rained the entire visit (Uber saved the day) but Jason and I weathered the challenges and enjoyed the extended time we got to spend together. Thanks for going to see my OG podcast-love with me, Jason.
