August 2017 included: getting my hair refreshed with the fabulous Linsey, an overdue carwash, lots of coconut La Croix, tons of sewing curves for my #ModMelonsQuilt, wearing my favorite heels from Target, a Saturday donut trip, super overcast clouds on my evening walk, rearview angles on my way back from Sacramento, and more watermelon quilt piecing. There was prep for Kristan's wedding, walking laps pre-ceremony with her flower girl, followed by an afternoon nap the next day, a completed quilt topper, plus a hummingbird on my Mom's hummingbird swing (yes it's a real thing), Lady Gaga with Becca in Sacramento, nightly walk and talks with my Dad, a windy day out with a new friend near the marshlands, and the return of my sister! Lastly: a quilt photo shoot with Melissa, long walks with her and Dad, perfect flowers on the porch of a restaurant, sleepovers in Sacramento, stopping at my favorite midtown spots, my sweet pea plants gone to seed at sunset, TONS of baby lizards, cutting for my next quilt, hot afternoon walking, breakfast out with my sister, and a bunch of HelloFresh meals together as a family (use my code for a discounted box)!
