Fashion and style wise, I'm enjoying trying new things when it comes to what I wear to work. I am still all about dressing up my outfits with fancy and fun jewelry. For the past six years, I've had jobs where I worked hands on with children, which meant no long necklaces or dangling earrings, no pretty tops or nice sweaters; nothing that I would be sad to have covered in yogurt or pulled on by tiny hands. For the most part, I didn't even buy the items I just mentioned because I didn't have any place to wear them!
I'm still working to bulk up my closet, but I'm taking my time. I'm being mindful with my purchases, especially when it comes to color and fabric choices. I'm trying to pick pieces that I know I'll feel confident AND comfortable in, and I am trying not to buy something just because I think I should wear it. I've decided to share some of my outfits because fashion and styling does not come natural for me, but I enjoy it. I look forward to seeing how my style evolves as time goes by.
I even joined a subscription jewelry service, called Rocksbox. I can't recommend it enough- they are responsive to my feedback each month and because they are based in San Francisco, I get each box in my mailbox within a couple days. Yes! Want a free month? Use my code! andreabff8
All of the tops below are from either Gap, Banana Republic, Nordstrom or Old Navy. (I guess I am a walking spokeswoman for that entire company.) That triple chevron necklace is from Nordstrom and was $16!
Ladies, where do you buy your work staples?
