Dearest Jason: today is the anniversary of your entrance into the world! (HBD! btw) While you were 28, you traveled to China, Las Vegas, Paris, London, Athens, Santorini, St. Louis, and New York (woah that's a lot of flying!). We attended our very first World Series game, and experienced a third championship in five years (Thank you MadBum). You stood by me as I changed jobs (three different times; I'm exhausted thinking about that). Thank you for being by my side as we see the world, but more importantly, thank you for making my world so much brighter. <3
Jason's party isn't until next weekend, but his birthday was today! I still needed to do something special for the day of, because OF COURSE. I picked up a balloon pump at Target for $1.99 and went to town on all the extra balloons I had from random parties through the years. Guys. It took me a lot longer than I planned. 36 balloons later, I decided enough was enough. I stuffed them into garbage bags and stored them in the loft overnight. I knew he wouldn't be up there after he got home from work, and in the morning after I was all ready to leave for work I planned on dumping them out on to the bathroom!
Real life: the garbage bags were so loud and crinkly, and when I tried to pick up each balloon individually they made a loud squeaking sound. So one-by-one I had to toss them into the bathroom. I was sure he was going to wake up from all the noise but I escaped unheard! He was really surprised and said he felt so special. Mission accomplished :)
